MASH Group is advancing various initiatives centered on achieving carbon neutrality and proposing wellness designs for people and society. We contribute to building a society filled with smiles and strive to pass on a beautiful Earth to future generations. Through the MASH GO GREEN PROJECT, we are implementing projects focused on preserving the natural environment, maintaining biodiversity, and reducing CO₂ emissions.

The Mash Group has participated annually in beach cleanups at Hirano Beach on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture since 2022. A total of 35 people have participated, including President Kondo, executives from operating companies, and employees involved in various businesses. They actively collect trash washed ashore on the beautiful coastline, creating opportunities to learn firsthand about the current state of marine debris issues. Furthermore, with the cooperation of Toyoshima Co., Ltd., we have adopted 100% recycled material—made from some of the PET bottles collected during the Ishigaki Island beach cleanups—into T-shirts and dresses for our women's fashion brand “emmi.” This initiative achieves resource circulation for waste plastic.
At the end of October 2025, Mash Style Lab conducted its first tree-planting activity in an FSC®-certified forest in Minamisanriku Town, Miyagi Prefecture. Minamisanriku possesses a unique natural environment where water flows from mountains to villages and then to the sea, creating a symbiotic cycle linking forest, sea, and village. This project focuses on the region's defining characteristic of “forest-sea-village symbiotic conservation,” emphasizing the perspective that healthy forests bring significant benefits not only to marine and village environments but also to enriching people's lives. It aims to contribute to enhancing ecosystem services through forest restoration activities.
In 2016, Mash Group became an industry pioneer in animal welfare by phasing out the use of real fur. Working with partner companies and suppliers, we expanded our product lineup featuring recycled and organic materials with lower environmental impact. We also created stores where over 80% of the materials used for fixtures and interior design are sustainable alternatives.
