This project promotes sustainable biodiversity forest management and wildlife conservation in Minamisanriku, Miyagi. In the forest, weeding is munimized to maintain the living environment of wildlife, and monitor the use of timber after logging to ensure responsible use. We also promote the protection of golden eagles and support the local economy. This project is operated by Sakyu Ltd., in partnership with the Minamisanriku Town Forest Management Council (the first FSC®-certified organization in the region), and WWF Japan.

This program promotes sustainable forest management in six locations across Japan. The forests has been sustainable by preserving the ecosystem and sustainable forests provide a habitat for flora and fauna. This project is planned by CFC and operated by local forestry associations and other organizations.

After planting, human intervention is kept to a minimum to preserve the natural environment.
