CFC CEO Mr. Takeshi Nakanishi
To achieve carbon neutrality in our direct emissions by 2030 and strive for carbon neutrality in our vending machine business by 2050.
To protect forests, which play a vital role as CO2 sinks, we have maintained a forest foster parent agreement with Asahi Village in Higashichikuma District, Nagano Prefecture since 2003. Our employees themselves form a “Forest Maintenance Team,” actively working to pass on this rich natural environment to future generations.
Dydo is advancing environmentally conscious business operations, including the introduction of hybrid vehicles for sales representatives' cars used in developing vending machine locations, as well as for route managers' trucks (route cars) responsible for vending machine restocking and environmental maintenance.
DyDo continuously strives to improve energy efficiency, reducing the annual power consumption of our main vending machines by 79.0% compared to 2000 (actual CO2 emissions in 2023: 90,123 t-CO2). We began full-scale introduction of vending machines equipped with a “heat pump function” in 2007. This function recycles heat generated during product cooling to warm products. Subsequently, we further significantly reduced power consumption by utilizing energy-saving components such as “LED lighting” and “high-performance vacuum insulation materials.”
